Wahl 5439-024 Hair Dryer: I have been using the Revlon RV544PKF 1875W Tourmaline Ionic Ceramic Diffuser for quite some time now. But it suddenly decided to give up on me. So I purchased the Wahl 5439-024 Hair Dryer with Diffuser.

+ The diffuser attachment is shaped perfectly with quality fingers that diffuse air well.
+ It has 2 Speed Settings and 3 Heat Settings which is what I like the most compared to my earlier diffuser.
+ Dries hair quite fast.
+ Imparts good volume, body and bounce to curls (and is the main reason I use diffusers).
+ Tourmaline technology is incorporated.
+ It’s manufactured by Wahl India and so has an Indian style plug. And it’s suitable for India’s Voltage.
– It’s quite heavy.
– The high wattage may not be suitable for fine hair. Even in the lowest heat setting, if you keep it close to your scalp for a long time, your scalp burns. That is why it is important to keep rotating between sections of hair.
– It is not compact enough for travel.
Overall, this is a great diffuser in India for this price!

Hi anjana, can we attach diffuser separately with dryer? I have Philips dryer working well in my home, it would be better to add diffuser to it than buying new one. If you know, Can you suggest some models suitable for Philips?

Hi Deepthi 🙂 I don’t know if this would fit in a Philips dryer. Nor do I know any that would fit. But you can try a hot sock. It fits almost all dryer I think. Don’t know how effective it is as a diffuser though.

Hi Priya, yes it can be used for thin hair if you use low heat and speed. It’s not very heavy to handle.

Hi ! Anjana ,Can u pls suggest some other good quality hair dryer with diffuser or is there only these 2 brands(Revlon & Wahl) with a good diffuser ?cuz Philips diffuser doesn’t work good as it’s dryer .nd devacurls diffuser is much much expensive.is there any other brand with very good diffusers ?

Hi Anjana, can you please suggest hair dryer with diffuser and cold shot for thin hair? As per your above review this one may not be suitable for fine hair, also it is heavy and non-foldable so it won’t be suitable for travelling.

Hi Anjana,
Am keen to buy a hair dryer with diffuser attachment that will cause minimum heat damage.
Hence looking for a dryer that comes with a cold setting. Although certain dryers say 3 heat settings, the lowest heat setting also turns out to be quite hot.
Can you suggest any dryers that truly have a cold setting and also a diffuser attachment. Am ok with a high end one, but not quite high end as say, the dyson

You have used both of the dryers which I am looking for my thick frizzy hair.. which one do u think work best.
Also, does both have ionic cermic tourmoline feathers with cool shot and diffuser. Is ther no difference between bot other than wattage?

Hi Anjana….You ara a great inspiration for me to start my cg journey. By reading your reviews on Wahl hair dryer , I ordered “Wahl Argan care WCHD8-1324 hair dryer”. But the problem is its diffuser has big holes on it and if am not using it carefully ,my hairs can be easily entered into the dryer. Please check the product you would understand what I am trying to explain .Also it’s cool shot is not working. So, shall I keep it as I got it for 1200 rupees or return it? My budget is around 1500 rupees. Could you suggest any good hair dryer ?
