I had heard about the Tresemme Botanique Nourish & Replenish Conditioner from many US and UK curlies. I saw it on Amazon India one day and decided to give it a try. And as always, drugstore price outside India becomes Luxury price by the time it reaches India with al the shipping as tax 😛
Description by Tresemme: Coconut conditioner to moisturise dry and damaged hair
Price: Around INR 1500 for a huge family sized bottle of 750ml. You can buy it here (India) or here (US) -#CommissionsEarned
Ingredient Analysis:
This is for the US version. The same product available in India has silicones

Ingredients after the first 5 to 8 ingredients are in negligible amounts and can be ignored if you are not trying to avoid any ingredient in particular – Read the Ingredients List, Not the Product Claims
I love the ingredients list! It’s hand in hand with the ingredients that make a good conditioner –Â Ingredients to Look for in a Conditioner
CG Friendly: Yes (This is for the US version. The same product available in India has silicones)
Texture: The conditioner is a creamy product with amazing slip and detangling ability.
Smell: I absolutely love the tropical fruity smell.
Performance:
Here’s how I apply conditioners – How to wash & condition curly hair and here is a post with my full curly hair care routine – My curly hair routine.
+ It has amazing slip and makes detangling very easy
+ Provides good hydration to curls
– I have no negatives to say about this product (except perhaps ask Tresemme why they add silicones to the version available in Indian shops)
In short: I absolutely love this conditioner – it is a good hydrating silicone free conditioner. I would easily but it any day. Here’s a List of Silicone free conditioners in India (with reviews/purchase links)

Sigh, why do these companies feel the need to stock up their products with silicones when releasing them in India? They do this for many shampoos as well. Perhaps because Indians are less likely to complain? Either way, this conditioner if without silicones could make an amazing addition to any Indian’s bathroom, but then again, companies also struggle to give more than 200ml of conditioner to Indians, probably because we don’t use much conditioner anyways XD

Hello Anjana!
Thanks for this helpful post! A while ago, you recommended this product in your Curly Hair product guide, so I got it. For a while I thought it was too heavy for my hair, but lately it has worked really well. It’s winter here in Canada, so my hair needs all the hydration it can get. And it smells SO yummy!
Keep up the great posts! You are always an inspiration!

I bought tresemme’s botanique nourish and replenish conditioner in Nepal. It says no dyes and silicon. But it cost me less than 600 NRs. which comes to IRs. 375 for 700 mL. It says made in the EU. Is this the one found in stores in India you are talking about? Does this cheaper version contain silicon even if the packaging and ingredients list says it does not?

Dawa, I will not be able to say that or guess the authenticity of the product

Hi Anjana! I’ve been using the conditioner for a while now but it doesn’t seem to be available anywhere. Is there any other protein free one? I have low porosity hair and protein doesn’t do any good on a daily basis. What would you also suggest for a shampoo, if cream is needed and a gel please?
