Common Review
Ingredients: MAN! I don’t remember the last time an ingredients list made me this happy. Just clean, amazing ingredients! Re’equil Babassu Anti-Frizz and Smoothening Conditioner as it says is great for frizz control. All its ingredients are hydrating. Re’equil Murumuru Damage Repair Conditioner has similar ingredients but has murmuru butter instead of babassu oil and also has hydrolysed protein which helps with damage repair (just like the name of the product says). I love labels that read what they actually are instead of flashy false promises.
CG Friendly: Yes
Texture: Both are creamy, velvet-y conditioners and provide AMAZING slip.
Smell: Fruity floral
Packaging: Soft plastic tube with a flip cap.
Performance:
+ Both do an AMAZING job in detangling hair
+ Both can be left in as leave in conditioners and work absolutely great for squish to condish.
+ The Babassu one is good for those wanting moisture and the Murmuru one is great for moisture + damage control.
+ Both don’t weigh down hair
+ Both provide hydration and frizz control
– I don’t have anything bad to say about either of the conditioners.
In short: Re’equil condiitoners have won my heart with their simplicity and efficacy. They are my current favourite conditioner in India 🙂

Hi Anjana,
Is St.Botanica Moroccan Argan Shampoo & Conditioner CG Approved. I haven’t seen this in your cg approved list.
Also, Is Garnier ultra blends deep nourishing Conditioner mythic olive oil cg Approved.
If they are cg Approved Can both of these can be used as leave in Conditioner too?

Please post the ingredients of St.Botanica products.
Garnier ultra blends deep nourishing Conditioner mythic olive oil is not CG friendly.

Hey Anjana,
I have recently moved to Pune and the water here is hard. So I have lots and lots of hair fall. I have lost most of the volume now. What do you suggest me to do?

These are not as lightweight as As I am. But what exactly are you looking for from the products?

How is the anti-frizz variant as a cowash?

You could give it a try Albema – it may be too rich for a cowash

Hi Anjana,
I started using Re’equil Murumuru Damage Repair Conditioner two weeks back. I feel my hair to be more dry on Day 2 after using this conditioner. I am using it as leave in also. I am just 3 months into cg method. First I used, Wow Conditioner for around 3 months and only 2 weeks back I purchased Requil Murumuru conditioner and used it twice now. Not sure if I am doing something wrong, but my hair looks very dry after using this conditioner. Have you experienced this with Murumuru conditioner

Not at all Rehna. This is one of the most moisturising conditioners I’ve used. If you didn’t experience this with WOW, maybe you could go back to it.

Yeah, even while checking the reviews I found that everyone claims it to be the most moisturizing conditioner in this price range. May be,I will give it a try for another couple of times ,using it as conditioner and not as a leave in. Thanks for the quick response Anjana

Hi Anjana,
Thank you for the amazing review. I started using this conditioner after your review and it is one of the best conditioners I have used so far (especially for detangling) .Thank you 🙂
Quick question: Can I comb my hair after using this conditioner as a leave-in?
Anjana
August 6, 2020 at 4:15 pm
I am glad! Do you mean comb in when the hair is wet?

Hey Anjana,
I love reading your blog post and reviews all the time. It’s a good insight to CG products and knowledge I try and gain.
I would desperately ask you to help me out with glycerine free products cause I’ve found that hair gets way to dry cause of the Mumbai humidity and it just down stay even if I moisturize my hair with a whole bottle 🤭
I would love to hear back from you.
Lots of love

Hi anjana, I have high porosity 2c curls (similar to yours) which are quite thick too… and I’ve used fix my curls leave in and it didn’t cut it and my hair kept frizzing up… So i was wondering if the babassu one can be used as a leave in conditioner since it mostly contains moisturing ingredients?
Anjana

Yes it can 🙂

Thanks anjana… I have another issue i’d like your advice on… I have dry hair and oily scalp… And Ever since cgm I have sebum buildup since I can’t comb between wash days to spread it throughout the hair length… And I’ve been experiencing massive hairfall and itching… And I don’t know, this burning sensation cuz of scratching it seems… I have never experienced this before cgm… And honestly, I feel a bit scared… Any advice is much appreciated (p.s I have already tried clarifying… And currently I cut down my routine to just shampoo and conditioner and no stylers or leave in)

HI Anjana,
Hope you are doing fine.
Below mentioned is the list of ingredients in loreal paris 6 oil nourish conditioner. Now it has silicone and IPA after Phenoxyethanol(which is less than 1% and not more than 1% according to its using standards.) Most of the CG friendly conditioners are costly and not affordable for everyone. Can I use this conditioner in a modified cg routine? Also it has cetyl esters on top. So, given all of this would you give it a heads up to use. I’ll have to clarify twice a month using this. Also I use J&J bay shampoo(original).
Water, Cetearyl Alcohol, Behentrimonium Chloride, Cetyl Esters, CI 19140, CI 14700, Coconut Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Olive Fruit Oil, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Trideceth-6, Chlorhexidine Digluconate, Limonene, Camelina Sativa Seed Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil, Benzyl Salicylate, Benzyl Alcohol, Linalool, Amodimethicone, Isopropyl Alcohol, Fragrance, Citric Acid, Cetrimonium Chloride, Sweet Almond Oil, Hexyl Cinnamal.

What do you mean by Modified CG?
Khyati
December 10, 2021 at 12:54 pm
Modified CG routine is one where people do use silicones and sulphates and follow up with CGM techniques.

Hii, I’m very new to haircare. I am considering Re’equil’s murumuru conditioner. As a guy, is it suitable for me or is it only for women?
I have another question if you don’t mind answering. Another conditioner I have an eye on is Bare Anatomy’s leave-in conditioner but I’m scared of the dimethicone it contains because I already have bad hairfall. Do you think it’s okay to use that product?
Anjana
November 28, 2023 at 4:32 pm
Hi Abhishek, these kinds of products are not gender specific. You can absolutely use them! Dimethicone is a silicone and it is ok to use if you are not following a CG method. It will not cause hairfall.
