Readers’ Diary includes some of my beautiful readers who’ve had a curly hair transformation after following the Curly Hair Routine. A whole section dedicated to my readers.
“I was so proud of my chemically straightened hair until my friend took a photo of me casually from upstairs; I was shocked, I could clearly see my scalp and my hair was dead with no shine. Then I started noticing the real condition of my scalp and hair, I could break my hair strands into pieces with my bare hands and I had a lot of hair fall too.
I was so scared that it started affecting my mental health. I was feeling very guilty of chemically treating my hair for the past 8 years. I decided to put a full stop to this and searched “how to take care of curly hair?”. And I found the answer from Anjana’s Blog 🙂
I chopped the straightened part of my hair, bought products according to Anjana’s recommendations for beginners and started my curly hair journey in June 2020. I could see baby hairs blooming.. I was so happy with the progress. My hair started go grow healthy and become shiny.
It took me around 5 months for visible results. I am into CGM for the past 1.5 years and now even strangers come and compliment my hair. I feel so confident about my naturally textured hair.

My Curly Hair Routine –
- I do prepoo 30 minutes before I shampoo my hair with almond oil or coconut oil and detangle while applying oil.
- Shampoo – Arata Shampoo / Fix My Curls Shampoo / Wow Apple Cider Vinegar Shampoo
- I use squish to condish method for hydration using Re’equil Conditioner
- I apply leave in using raking method or praying hand method – Ashba Leave in / Curl up Curl Cream / Arata Hair Cream / Fix My Curls Hair Butter
- I apply gel using praying hands method. I don’t do brush styling or finger coiling. Arata Gel / Fix My Curls Gel / Giovanni L.A Hold Gel
- I prefer upside-down styling and I don’t style on soaking wet hair, damp hair styling works better for me.
- Initially I had to deep condition my hair weekly but now my hair needs DC only once in a month or once in two weeks –Â Aaranyaa Hair Pack or Matrix Mask
