Readers’ Diary includes some of my beautiful readers who’ve had a curly hair transformation after following the Curly Hair Routine. A whole section dedicated to my readers.
So here’s a big shoutout to all my lovely readers – I would love it if you can share photos of your curly hair’s before & after, how the blog has helped you and a paragraph about your routine and products. Send them to info@curlsandbeautydiary.com
“Thanking you immensely for your blog and instagram posts that have really made me discover my real curly self. Earlier this year when I had seen some international videos with curly girl method, I was not so confident using the cg method as I had never heard any Indian talk about it. I am so glad that I bumped into your blog and have got so much knowledge and understanding for how to care our Indian type of hair especially when you are not having all these international brands in India.
Reading your blog gave me the courage to try cg method. Of course, initially the results were not very successful, but gradually I understood my curly pattern and it kept getting better.
- Shampoo and conditioned with OGX shampoo and Aussie 3 minute miracle conditioner
- Applied Garnier butter cream leave in condish and SheaMoisture smoothie
- For definition, I used Loreal Studio line Radical 24hr fibre gel
- Diffused for 10 – 15mins
Thanks a ton Anjana!!! Keep blogging and keep smiling! 😊”

Hi Anjana, I see many bloggers say that they struggle initially when they start following the routine. I guess I am at a similar stage where I am trying the cg method with most of the recommended products but the results are not satisfactory.
I would like to know what different needs to be done. Is it simply about trying different products?

A combination of consistency, time, experiments 🙂

Hi Anjana
I have been reading your blog and am very impressed with your detailed explanation and patience in dealing with questions.
Here is my problem : I have been doing cysteine treatment on my hair since like most curly girls I also wanted straight hair. I am fed up now and want to get back to my curls and your stories have inspired me even more. Unfortunately my hair is now quite sparse on the crown area and volume is less. Shen I follow the methods described, the curls come beautifully but look spaced out and not as full and dense. So I am tempted to open them up with my fingers for a fuller look. Any suggestions on how to handle this?

Fluff your hair at the crown as if you are massaging them. That will provide volume.

Thanks Anjana for the prompt reply
– Should I do this after scrunching or after hair dries out?
– The hair shaft also looks like stand alone curl strands and not clumped together so it looks a little weird and you can see gaps between the curls – what should I do?
Thanks for your help

Thank you Anjana, I will try this out. Also parts of my hair are still in the transition phase and chemically starightened. Hence I am hoping once these grow out completely I should be in better shape (curls) . Thanks as always for the promot response. Much appreciated.
