Readers’ Diary includes some of my beautiful readers who’ve had a curly hair transformation after following the Curly Hair Routine. A whole section dedicated to my readers.
So here’s a big shoutout to all my lovely readers – I would love it if you can share photos of your curly hair’s before & after, how the blog has helped you and a paragraph about your routine and products. Send them to info@curlsandbeautydiary.com
For years I have been hating my curly hair. After damaging my hair to the core, I decided to love my hair the way they were. I had even decided to put my hair into a bun my entire life, but not to do any more heat/chemical damage to them….but it’s true, magic happens when you expect it the least. I was doing R&D on curly hair when I came across Curls and Beauty Diary in Aug 2016. I was shocked to see the quality of curly hair one can have…I started reading Anjana’s posts from scratch..from her first post to the last. I have mailed her, DM’d her with lots of queries (believe me, a lot) and she being so humble answered all my doubts . I love you Anjana for that…😚😚
This is my current routine which I follow religiously as per her suggestion/technique:
- I oil my hair once a week with mixture of all oils – Coconut, olive, almond, castor etc. Oils and curly hair – Benefits, types and ways to apply
- Shampoo – Giovanni smooth silk shampoo
- Conditioner (I just don’t stick to one) – I have used Giovanni conditioner, Enliven, Matrix Biolage, Revlon Flex, L’Oreal Smooth intense. Matrix and L’Oreal smooth intense are my favorites as they give good slip and moisture to my hair. I thoroughly comb my hair from this step till the gel application.
- Leave in Conditioner – I use a good amount of my usual conditioner as leave in.
- Curling Cream – I use Cantu Shea Butter Moisturizing Curl Activator Cream, I use a palmful of it.
- Gel – This is the best part. I have used some other gels, but after reading the post on Bblunt Gel I gave it a try and it worked great on my hair. I like elongated curls and this gel is perfect for that. I use a good amount & apply it in sections.
- Deep Conditioner – Once in 15 days, I use a DIY mask made from banana, curd & honey mixed with some vitamin E capsules.
- Last point is patience. Do trial & error with products, as all hair is different. Keep calm and keep trying; or mail Anjana for help *wink*.
