So here’s a big shoutout to all my lovely readers – I would love it if you can share photos of your curly hair’s before & after, how the blog has helped you and a paragraph about your routine and products. Send them to info@curlsandbeautydiary.com
“We are all beautiful but let’s thank Anjana for making us feel beautiful in a way. For me my curls are like an accomplishment. I have never flipped my hair so confidently ever before. Almost every curly hair story starts with how much we hate having curly or wavy hair and how unmanageable and frizzy they get immediately, even after washing them. I also went through this, I hated my curls. In 2012, I straightened them and for next couple of years (till 2016) the rebonding, smoothening things went on. I lost all my natural shine and thickness of my hair, and that started bothering me much more. I never went hunting for tips, because I wasn’t falling in love with my hair. That’s when my friend shared Anjana’s Instagram profile with me, where I actually started spending my time going through her profile. I thought of giving it a shot – Bringing my curly hair back to life was quiet a task.
*STARTED FOLLOWING ANJANA’S BLOG:* How to transition from chemically straightened hair to your natural curly hair – this one helped me a lot. I had lost faith in all the hair products before. So after after reading the blog I didn’t really hop on the products but tried the homemade mask first. 3 homemade hair masks for curly hair this post helped me and the Banana mask did wonders to my hair, I do the banana mask treatment once in 15 days.
*HOW DO I MAKE THE MASK:* Grind one banana and the apply that thick liquid to my hair, tie a pineapple bun then I leave it for 45 mins. After that I rinse it out properly with lukewarm water only (no shampoo-conditioner). The next day I shampoo-condition it or sometimes I only use conditioner. I shampoo my hair once a week but I condition it twice or thrice a week (by just applying conditioner and then rinsing it out and scrunching a little bit).
*PRODUCTS THAT I USE:* I have always been a L’Oreal product person and I thought of sticking to it, I use L’Oreal smooth intense (shampoo) following with L’Oreal clay conditioner. Now I switch between the L’Oreal clay and BBLUNT conditioner alternatively.
*THE CHANGE:* I had a chat with Anjana in September, and in that month after two homemade mask sessions, my hair took a better curl shape (It was very fast – in two weeks, I noticed the difference).
*PLEASE AVOID:* Combing dry hair, Using towels to dry your hair (let them air dry – you’ll get good results) and don’t wash your hair everyday.
I have spoken my heart out and rest of the things you guys will definitely find on Anjana’s blog. So much love to you *Curls and Beauty Diary.*”

Yes, it works pretty great. I usually prefer co-washing with this clay conditioner.
But it also depends how it’ll suit your hair texture. Still you could give it a try.
