Readers’ Diary includes some of my beautiful readers who’ve had a curly hair transformation after following the Curly Hair Routine. A whole section dedicated to my readers.

So here’s a big shoutout to all my lovely readers – I would love it if you can share photos of your curly hair’s before & after, how the blog has helped you and a paragraph about your routine and products. Send them to info@curlsandbeautydiary.com

“Initially I hated my curly hair a lot. In the last 4 years, I did permanent straightening twice. But even after that I wasn’t happy because these was a time when one could clearly see the difference between curls and chemically treated permanent hair. One day I went to parlour to straighten the growth of my curly hair, but they kind of scared me saying that the bond between my curls and straight hair is so weak that if I do it again all my hair strands would break. That was the time I decided I have to stop doing straighterning. And after going through different websites and videos I came across your site and I found it really good. So I decided to go with your routine. I was really happy to see a website for Indian ladies. I was randomly experimenting with different products by myself. The blog really helped me with choosing the right kind of products that we can get in India. Also the routine of scrunching the hair which I originally never tried then plopping the hair with t-shirt , all these seemed to help a lot. The blog made me realise that loving my natural hair and also giving it little attention and care can create wonders for my look without going for straightening. I started getting lot of compliments from my friends and colleagues. People started asking me if I have permed my hair.

My curly hair routine

  • First I wash my hair with khadi shampoo and apply it only on scalp after mixing it with a little water.
  • Conditioner – Loreal oil conditioner works best on my hair. Patanjali conditioners are good too.
  • Curl hair cream – While the hair is still wet, scrunch hair with Cantu Shea butter hair curl activator cream. This cream is the best one that’s worked on my hair till now. Then I use Patanjali aloevera gel.
  • Then I dry my hair using a t-shirt.

It took me 3/4 washes to understand the routine properly and I could see the results immediately. For hair growth, I use a mix of coconut and castor oil twice a week” Start your own curl transformation today! – Start Here. Read about other readers’ transformations here – Readers’Diary.
