Readers’ Diary includes some of my beautiful readers who’ve had a curly hair transformation after following the Curly Hair Routine. A whole section dedicated to my readers.

So here’s a big shoutout to all my lovely readers – I would love it if you can share photos of your curly hair’s before & after, how the blog has helped you and a paragraph about your routine and products. Send them to info@curlsandbeautydiary.com

“I hated my hair ever since I undertood the meaning of hair in my childhood. It wasn’t only me, my 2 elder sisters do have curly hair too and they absolutely hate their hair. My mum used to comb it and do all the others stuffs that any other South Asian mother will do. I’m a Bangladeshi and here I don’t even have a curly hair blogger in our country. It was very difficult for me to get access of CG method. I still remember the first day I ever saw a cgm routine in YouTube which was of none other than the famous Penny Tover ❤️ but seriously after looking at the routine I was afraid, like how can I survive without combing my hair at least twice daily. I didn’t get any products but I still tried not to comb my hair for 3 days and “boom” ✋✋ “slaps” from mum. 🤣 N.B- I was in 8th standard, quite young so it was fine. I was always bullied for my hair in my school until I got into A levels (11th standard), people started telling me “I guess if you take care of your hair properly you can have beautiful ringlets”. Umm I was still not convinced to follow cg method after that slap XD. But as days passed on, I was recovering from my bullying effects and started to become confident. Last year November I decided to follow cg method and from then my life has turned completely. I’m a confident girl now and everyone does appreciate my natural hair, even though I still have to hear a lot of rebukes from my family and old cultured society but it’ll require time to change since very less Bangladeshi people do know about cg method. Now comes the hardest part, I don’t get cg approved products in Bangladesh and this is the time Anjana’s blog became a part of my life. Some of the Indian products are available in Bangladesh and this is how I used to search products. I still dm her whenever I struggle finding cg approved products. She’s in one word “love”.

Here comes my curly hair routine:

  • Prepoo: With coconut oil and also detangle with it.
  • Shampoo: Xpel charcoal sulfate free shampoo / any shampoo with sulfate (since it’s very difficult to find a sulfate free shampoo here)
  • Conditioner: Enliven raspberry conditioner.
  • Leave in: use the same conditioner and do Squish to condish.
  • Styling product: set wet cool hold gel. Most of the time I do not use the hair gel instead I use lots of conditioner and scrunch my hair.

I believe one day Bangladeshi curly heads will accept cg method soon and we’ll be accessible to cg products. For now thanks to Anjana for helping me out ❤️.”
