“There was never a single day in my life when I did not hate my hair. I used to straight my hair after every wash either by using hot brush or by blow drying. I consider myself lucky because I did not do this for too long when I saw Anjana’s Instagram and her pictures but never believed my own hair can look that way. One day I messaged her and from her came the shocker that you can’t comb your hair dry – it was the most difficult thing to do but she patiently replied to all my messages and cleared my doubts. I started my journey with the products I had but my hair responded much better with CG products.

Hair type – 2C/3A, low porosity

Currently my curly hair routine is:

• Washing – Fabindia herbal daily shampoo or WOW Apple Cider Vinegar Shampoo
• Cowash – Sometimes I just cowash with Enliven conditioner or rinse with shikakai powder
• Conditioner – Matrix biolage hydrating conditioner or Enliven conditioner
• Deep Conditioner – Matrix biolage hydrating masque, Amsarveda Natural Hair Mask Cream – Intensive Treatment, Mamaearth argan mask or The Body Shop rainforest moisture butter.  I use any one of these every week
• Leave in – Alba Botanica. I use rake in method. After applying leave in, I comb with a wide tooth comb and a Denman brush to clump hair better
• Gel – Ecostyler olive gel
• Refresh – A mist of water, Lavender oil and aloe juice – 3 ways to refresh curly hair. Or I wet my hair and apply lots of flaxseed gel, plop for 5 minutes and diffuse.

I just started my journey 6 months back and I have a long way to go and I will always be thankful to Anjana for introducing me to curly hair journey and making me love my hair.”
