Readers’ Diary includes some of my beautiful readers who’ve had a curly hair transformation after following the Curly Hair Routine. A whole section dedicated to my readers.
So here’s a big shoutout to all my lovely readers – I would love it if you can share photos of your curly hair’s before & after, how the blog has helped you and a paragraph about your routine and products. Send them to info@curlsandbeautydiary.com
“My hair transformation began around mid October 2016. Until then like every other curly haired girl I was also struggling to manage and style my hair and did everything I could to make it look better including flat iron, chemical treatments etc. I had done permanent straightening for 3 consecutive years. After which I decided not to do any more chemical treatments and let my hair on its own. In the next two following years I slowly started getting my natural hair back. That’s when I came across your blog and read all about natural hair and it was like heaven for me. Then I decided to chop off my damaged ends and started with natural hair care. It was a real rescue to my hair. I have never loved my hair as I do now. Thank you Anjana for all the advice and tips. You are a life saver.
My curly hair routine :
- I apply coconut oil on to my scalp and hair and keep it for a hour or so.
- Then I shampoo my hair and apply OGX conditioner on dripping wet hair and untangle the knots.
- After that I flip my hair over and apply the leave in hair butter from OGX by slowly smoothing them all over my hair and scrunching.
- Finally I smooth in some of my enliven hair gel and scrunch again with a cotton t-shirt and plop it in the same t-shirt for 15 min.
I do not follow the cg mentioned completely as I use sulphate and silicone products as well.”

This is really interesting and your curls look gorgeous. I had a doubt like after the conditioner there is no need of rinsing? ?

Some people leave conditioner on – it gives them more moisture. You can do that too if your hair doesn’t get weighed down. Or you can try Squish to Condish – The best conditioning method for curly hair
