“I used to comb my hair over and over again expecting it to be straight and used to crib all the time why my hair is like this. When I used to go to parlour for a haircut in my childhood, the parlour aunties used to abuse my hair. All my childhood I spent having boycut because of unawareness of curly hair. And when I was in Engineering final year I somehow grew my hair little longer and straightened it. From then I straightened my hair for next 6 years(yes, twice every year). Then I was worried about sustainability of my haircare. And I came across your blogs. And I started following cg method step by step how you have explained. Yes, it needed lot of patience initially but then I fell in love with my curly hair. I no more abuse my hair (no heat, no silicone & no parabens). I just love them and flaunt them. Now everyone around me asks what I m doing to my hair, is it natural. And I proudly say “Yes it’s my natural hair and please don’t touch my hair 😉”. Initially I was completely unware of hair type and all. Your blog helped me in understanding my hair texture, porosity and protein sensitivity. And I didn’t know that we have to read the ingredients before buying any hair product. Then this blog helped me in understanding in the ingredients and with your list of available products in India really really helped me.

Products and curly hair routine

• I don’t use shampoo at all. For clarifying I use ACV rinse.
• For cowash I use Enliven conditioner.
• For conditioning I use L’Oréal intense smooth conditioner.
• I use Cantu curl activator for styling. For gel I use flax seed gel and devacurl gel. And use an essential oil to break the cast.
• I also do gelatin treatment when I feel like and then for dc I use bodyshop hair butter.
• I apply the products in praying hand motion and I do plopping also.
• I regularly oil my hair the previous night I wash my hair. My hair loves oil. And it’s almost a year since I have used comb.

It took me around 8 months to see the change. Actually I was going through the transition phase of straight hair to curly hair, and my crown area was the most difficult part to tame. My crown took me lot of time.”
