Readers’ Diary includes some of my beautiful readers who’ve had a curly hair transformation after following the Curly Hair Routine. A whole section dedicated to my readers.
So here’s a big shoutout to all my lovely readers – I would love it if you can share photos of your curly hair’s before & after, how the blog has helped you and a paragraph about your routine and products. Send them to info@curlsandbeautydiary.com
I have always had curly hair (runs in the family 😆) and hated it. I always wished for silky smooth straight hair which my sister was blessed with. I always saw my curls as a curse…a ball of frizz which could not look good no matter what serums or conditioners I used…and to make matters worse I combed it a dozen times every day to smooth it out. Luckily I did not do the mistake of permanent straightening but did a lot of harm to it by regular use of flat irons. Once I read the blog I went on a shopping spree for my mane.
- I shampoo my hair twice in a week using Khadi herbals woody sandal and honey shampoo (it is sls and paraben free).
- I always oil my hair before shampooing with nivara virgin coconut oil(available in Kerala) with few drops of either rosemary or lemon essential oil and leave it on for about an hour.
- Post shampoo I condition my curls with enliven raspberry and red apple conditioner or Revlon flex body building conditioner depending on what I have at hand and plop my hair using a cotton t-shirt for 10 minutes.
- I use Garnier fructis sleek and shine intensely smooth leave in conditioning cream as a leave in or enliven conditioner diluted with a little water.
- For styling I use flax seed gel(the best) or aroma treasures aloe vera gel.
- I use a clarifying shampoo once in a month or once in 2 months depending on how my scalp and hair feels.(Pantene lively clean shampoo)
- I usually wash my hair overnight and sleep on a satin pillow case. That way I wake up with well defined, ready to go hair 😊😍
- I ditched combs and brushes completely.
This blog is a boon for curly haired women in India who face a struggle with their hair every day. I have learned to love my natural hair and to flaunt the curls I was blessed with. I am proud of how straight haired people ogle at my thick curls enviously.😆
Hope this year brings us more curl friendly products and more techniques to bring our hair to their fullest glory. 😊”
