Readers’ Diary includes some of my beautiful readers who’ve had a curly hair transformation after following the Curly Hair Routine. A whole section dedicated to my readers.

So here’s a big shoutout to all my lovely readers – I would love it if you can share photos of your curly hair’s before & after, how the blog has helped you and a paragraph about your routine and products. Send them to info@curlsandbeautydiary.com

“Let me start by saying that you are a big lifesaver 😁 !! Like any other curly haired girl, I used to hate my hair especially when people used to mock me calling all unwanted names. I even ended up straightening thrice and lost more than half the volume. The shift to US opened my eyes when my husband asked me to check about products for curly hair. He was the motivation behind all this. And I am beyond glad to have found your insta page. I was surprised and shocked at the same time seeing your hair; I really couldn’t believe that curly hair could be transformed to that extent. I also shared your page with so many people with the same problems and they are all in the process(very lazy people though😋). Anyways my hair was super frizzy before and nothing was helping me to control it, so like how you suggested, I went for Cantu products. With sulfates out, the changes were already visible but I still wanted to avoid the frizz. Now finally with a lot of experiments I finally achieved what I had been longing for all these years. Products used

Once the products are applied, I use Denman brush to make curl clumps. I prefer air drying. Once they dry, with a little bit of cantu super shine hair silk oil based serum, I squish the curls to break the product cast and thats it… beautiful flowing curly hair is the result! I, at times refresh with a mix of water, moisturizing curl activator and a few drops of lavender essential oil for the next 3 days. My hair gets frizzy when I refresh at times..so I refresh only if I feel it needs moisture .” Start your own curl transformation today! – Start Here. Thanks

Pooja, I don’t recommend serums anymore

Mam…
M still confused.. Can you please tell how to start?

Hi, I am using Vilvah dandruff shampoo and conditioner from past two months. Before that i was using Bare anatomy shampoo and conditioner but i realized after two months of use that my hair is getting entangled a lot and too much of hair fall + dandruff. Then I started using Vilvah and dandruff is all gone but however, i am having excessive hair fall and entangling. Could you please let me know what could be the cause for this and what can be done. I am really very very tensed with my hair.

Hi Anjana, thankyou for the link….it was indeed very helpful….Rightly said, i dont comb my hair and can witness less hairfall on normal days. But while hair wash am having hair fall in clumps….this may be due to hormonals imbalance which i am facing currently..i need to get my USG and thyroid test done..

Thank you for your help it gives me a relive..
Well i have other questions too…
1. I thought that due to shampoo and conditioner i am facing the issue. Well can you also let me know the reason for excessive tangling..i have never faced this tangling issue earlier.
2. Also, i did wash my hair today and after that i applied alovera (natural alovera after grinding in the mixer) in my wet hair and now my hair looks excessively frizzy. (is it good to continue this or should i try something else)
3. One most important thing…my curls are opening..i hardly see any curls after my hair gets dry.

1) How do you detangle hair?
2) Not sure what you were trying to achieve with that
3) Check points 1 and 14 https://www.curlsandbeautydiary.com/curly-hair-faq/

Hi Anjana,

1. I detangle my hair only with my fingers only while conditioning.
2. I normally use flax seed gel after conditioning, but as it was not available I thought of replacing it with alovera juice for once
3. Thankyou for sharing the links. I have checked those points.

Well i would like to share my normal routine hair care with you. Help me guide wherever changes are required. I am really tensed, i am loosing out my curls.

I usually shampoo (as I have dandruff) and condition my hair twice a week. I use vilvah shampoo and conditioner for the same. After conditioning I apply flax seed gel and then I scrunch my hair. I don’t want to use any market products and hence prefer to use only flax seed gel (home made). At night I clutch my hair at the front and sleep.

. At times i apply alovera juice after 2-3 days of wash, without running my fingers in my hair. This is all what i have been doing so far.

I went through your links and realize the importance of co-wash. Should i replace my twice a week shampoo with co-wash ? (washing my hair with conditioner – applying conditioner on scalp and simply washing. (Please let me know if i have understood co-washing in the right way)). I am worried about my dandruff at the same time.

So my question to you is:
1. is my routine sufficient – shampoo, conditioning, flax seed gel and then scrunching ?
2. Should i keep applying sufficient amount of alovera juice after 2-3 days of wash?
3. Replacing co-wash with shampoo by once in a week?
4. Do i need to change my products (shampoo or conditioner)

Shreya, I would definitely ask you to look into adding some leave in and hard hold gel. Aloe is not enough. Flax is ok.
