Readers’ Diary includes some of my beautiful readers who’ve had a curly hair transformation after following the Curly Hair Routine. A whole section dedicated to my readers.
So here’s a big shoutout to all my lovely readers – I would love it if you can share photos of your curly hair’s before & after, how the blog has helped you and a paragraph about your routine and products. Send them to info@curlsandbeautydiary.com
“Like all curlies, I have always found it difficult to manage my dry, frizzy hair.. and finding a hairstyle was a tough task. I straightened my hair (luckily not permanent straightening) several times and then gave up because the heat used to give me headaches.. so I just let my hair behave the way it wants 🙄
It was not until last year, just a few months before my wedding, while i was looking out for some wedding saris on Pinterest, that I stumbled upon Anjana’s pic in a beautiful sari and the most beautiful antique jewellery!😍 And I soon discovered that she is a curly hair blogger!! What a pleasant surprise it was!😁 Going through the blog I instantly knew she has gone through the same struggle of managing curly hair and since then she has been my inspiration!😊 Can’t thank you enough Anjana! 😊😊😊
Though I have been reading the blog from the mid of 2016, it wasn’t until July this year that I decided to give it a try😛
Here’s my current curly hair routine –
- Pre-poo once or twice a week with coconut and olive oil and let it sit for as long as possible
- Shampoo my scalp once a week with Dove Anti-Dandruff, by diluting it in water ( I shampoo only when I oil my hair) and then use my conditioner. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes before rinsing
- Co-wash once or twice a week. I am currently using TRESemme Botanique Nourish & Replenish coconut milk and aloe vera Conditioner ( I am yet to find the right conditioner for my hair type, so i keep trying new ones)
- Use the same conditioner as leave in and do Squish to condish.. I don’t overdo STC, since my hair starts to frizz and will not remain soaking wet while I apply the remaining products.
- Rake my Boots Curl Creme for even distribution, scrunch it in for definition, and then smooth a little more of the cream on my hair with praying hands ( this has helped me reduce frizz to an extent)
- I finally smoothen hair with my Kinky Curly Curling Custard styling gel ( my absolute favorite 😍😍😍) and use some more of it to scrunch hair. I love the crunch that this gel gives and after SOTC, it reveals my soft and beautiful curls 😍❤️
- Scrunch out excess water using a Tshirt and plop hair for as long as possible and then air dry.”
