I still remember the bridezilla period a few months before my marriage. I did all the planning on my own, scouring through google search results for some information. I wish I had known about wedmegood back then!

I think this is one of the most important parts of a bride’s planning (of course, only after the groom :P)

This was probably the toughest part of my hunting because I went through countless Kanchipuram silk sarees through silk shopping giants like Jayalakshmi and Nalli in Kochi and Chennai before having me driven to the land itself – Kanchipuram, from where I picked my absolute love. But you don’t have to be so hard on your family hahaha. On the site, you can find bridal wear designer stores in Delhi, Mumbai or your city, read their reviews, contact them for more info and go and visit the store you like.

Jewelry

Only behind the groom and bridal wear, jewelry is perhaps a big chunk of the bride-to-be’s planning list. I remember running across umpteen stores in Kochi and Chennai (praise my family!) in search of the perfect antique temple jewelry. And also searching through online jewelry stores for the maang tikka, baju band etc. On wedmegood, you can find jewellery stores in your city and also tons of bridal jewellery ideas for your wedding, mehendi, etc.

Makeup

I did my makeup on my own because I looked ghostly in the hands of others. But you can search for the best bridal makeup & hairstylist in Mumbai, Delhi, or any of the city you want on the site. You can book one for your family as well.

Wedding Décor

This remains rather close to my heart because I remember creating the backdrop shape myself with glitter fabric and sequins for my wedding! The venue guy didn’t understand what I wanted *shakes my head*.
