  • How to pineapple long curly hair with a (deliberately)broken invisibobble

We all know that the way we sleep directly impacts how our curls are going to look the next day. I have befriended my favourite silk pillow case for almost 2 years now and it has made a huge change. I wanted to find out more or better ways to sleep with curly hair.

You will not believe how I found out a way that works for me. I was just fiddling with my invisibobble trying to stretch it so that it doesn’t leave a mark on my hair that it broke. And there! I had an invisibobble that I could fasten according to the thickness of my hair! Plus you don’t have to drag it along the length of your hair. What a happy mistake 😀 😀

Invisibobble Price : 350 INR/6$/ 3.75 GBP. You can buy invisibobble here(India), here(US) or here(UK).

  1. Cut the invisibobble
  2. Bend down and gather your hair into a pony tail
  3. Bring the 2 ends of the broken invisibobble around the pony tail and cross the ends depending on how tight or loose you want the pineapple.
  4. Twist the ends (like you make a plait) 1 or 2 times over each other so that it doesn’t open up.

There you have it! A pineapple for long curly hair that doesn’t leave a mark 🙂 Following this, you can put the pineapple into a satin bonnet or sleep on a silk pillowcase or use a pineapple keeper.

Thanks Linda 🙂

this invisibobble thing is so exp ($8 at sephora). considering how many rubberbands I lose I will need 50 of these 🙂

Hahaha!!

Good one👌

I usually use the bands from my knee – high nylons as my pony tail ties. And for head bands I use the waist bands from an old pair of full length panty hose.
I have super thick hair.. this really works for me and they last FOREVVVVVVER!

Great idea JJ!
