  • Photodiary – Reusing my mom’s old Kanchipuram Sari (Volume 8)

f you are following me on Instagram, you would’ve read that I moved to Bangalore 2 weeks ago. Here’s my first PhotoDiary from Bangalore 🙂 PhotoDiary volumes are photoshoots showcasing the beauty of curly hair. PhotoDiary aims to encourage you to embrace your curly hair.

The floor length Kanchipuram anarkali gown that I am wearing is made out of my mom’s old Kanchipuram Sari. The sari is older than I am 😀 Resuing old Kanchipuram Saris to make anarkalis or dresses is a great way to put the beautiful silk pieces to good yet practical use. Other details of the look + hair products used at the end of the post 🙂

We are all born with beautiful hair. It’s the care that makes all the difference. “She was born with it” My hair is different”  “I would wear my hair curly if my curls looked like that!” “My hair isn’t curly, its just frizzy” “I don’t really have curl, just some unruly wave” are not acceptable excuses anymore. Start today! – My curly hair routine. Also excuse that red zit on my face as I struggle with my acne much after my teenage years 😛 – My anti-acne skin care routine.

Heyyy Anjana,

I’m new to your blog and i’m really getting addicted to your blog since morning 🙂
Nice “RULES’ to really manage the curlzzz…Good One!!!
I have wavy and frizzy hair and length below shoulder level. Looks good when my hair is semi dry but turns out ugly when it dries up (just like lion hair)…Ha ha…
I generally dont use shampoo very often due to hair fall (Bangalore effect) I use shikakai instead.
Can i follow the instructions that you have suggested i your blog?? How do i comb my hair and make my hair manageable and good looking. Please do suggest 🙂

Hey Kousthubha !! Of course you can use the methods suggested. Check this – Start Here
