Northwish Naturals Nourishing Conditioner Review

Northwish Naturals doesn’t get as much limelight as some of the other Indian curly hair product brands. But their Nourishing Conditioner is one of my most favourite conditioners. So let’s start with Northwish Naturals Nourishing Conditioner Review and see what makes it so good.

Our Nourishing Conditioner is rich in Cold Pressed Coconut Oil, Silk Protein, Keratin and Vitamin E Oils that strengthen and restore nourishment to dry, damaged hair and promote the growth of healthy, nourished, frizz free hair. With the infusion of Silk Protein, this conditioner will leave your hair feeling soft and more manageable so that it is easy to detangle in the shower.

Ingredient Analysis:

  1. Aqua
  2. Dipalmitoylethyl Dimonium Chloride – Quaternary ammonium salt with antistatic & hair conditioning properties
  3. Coconut Oil
  4. Anhydrous Lanolin – Waxy emollient, moisturises hair
  5. Hydrolyzed Silk Protein
  6. Tocopherol (Vitamin E) – Moisturiser
  7. Keratin – Protein
  8. Cetrimonium Chloride – Cationic surfactant that smoothens the cuticle and helps in detangling

I usually put up this in all my reviews – “Ingredients after the first 5 to 8 ingredients are in negligible amounts and can be ignored if you are not trying to avoid any ingredient in particular – Read the Ingredients List, Not the Product Claims“. But this product only has about 10 ingredients so I have explained the full list. Also, don’t you just love it when brands keep a robust minimal ingredients list without adding a few drops of fancy ingredients and adding gimmicky claims! πŸ™‚

The ingredients list is amazing. Northwish Naturals Nourishing Conditioner has all the great ingredients expected in a conditioner. It doesn’t have an emollient alcohol which is quite common in conditioners but has other emollients. It is also quite high in protein.

Northwish Naturals Nourishing Conditioner Checklist :

CG Friendly: Yes
Protein free: No
Texture: Thick and creamy
Fragrance: Mild floral

Northwish Naturals Nourishing Conditioner is an amazing conditioner from an Indian brand. It has amazing detangling and moisturizing properties. It is one of my all-time favourite conditioners πŸ™‚

Anjana, when I entered the ingredients list on curls bot, it said that it’s not CG friendly because of the presence of “Anhydrous Lanolin.” Isn’t it a wax? Also a quick google reveals that “Pure anhydrous lanolin is not water-soluble (it won’t dissolve in water).” Which means it’ll build up in the hair over time right?

Hi Nemisha, non-water soluble doesn’t mean it will build up. For eg. Coconut oil is not water soluble, but is widely used in CG products. CG shampoos can easily remove it. Lanolin is an animal wax and may be more similar to human sebum than say olive oil. Hope that clears your doubt πŸ™‚

Thanks Anjana! πŸ™‚
