Giovanni Nutrafix Hair Reconstructor Review

I was looking for Giovanni’s conditioners in Health & Glow when I came across their Nutrafix Hair Reconstructor. I hadn’t seen or heard about this product before and so was very intrigued to try it.

Giovanni Nutrafix Hair Reconstructor is silicone free (for those strictly on the CG method). But I don’t see any protein-y ingredients other than soybean, considering what’s it created for (“nutritive protein fixes”). Plus soybean is not even in the 1st 5 ingredients. Results on my hair

CG Friendly: Yes
Texture: A light whipped cream gel texture with average slip. Stays on hair well without dripping.
Smell: It’s a tropical herb-y smelling product
Packaging: Plastic squeezy tube

Performance:

I applied this to freshly shampooed hair and left it on for 30 minutes. It’s not very easy to detangle your hair with this as the slip is just average.

+ My hair felt softer and healthier after using Giovanni Nutrafix Hair Reconstructor.

+ My curls felt bouncier and curlier after this treatment.

– This is not a very strong protein treatment considering it’s called a reconstructor

In short: If you’ve realized that your hair is damaged, I’ve suggested the use of gelatin treatment to fill in your porous hair. Gelatin is a strong protein treatment. The Giovanni Nutrafix Hair Reconstructor is good for a deep conditioning treatment, not as a protein recosntructor.
