“Favourite Five” are the top 5 beauty products from the ones I currently use. I have also included mini reviews under each to let you know how well they work 🙂
The Body Shop Virgin Mojito Shower Gel
This is literally virgin mojito in a bottle. The smell is absolutely fabulous and refreshingly bursting with lime and mint notes. No artificial smell at all. Winter’s already here and yet I like this summery fragrance in my shower. Lathers up beautifully.
Price – 425 INR for 250 ml
Maybelline Colorsensational Bold Matte Lipstick MAT2
I love matte lipsticks. I love peaches, oranges and corals. This is a perfect combo of both. I have worn this colour in this post – PhotoDiary. This is quite matte on the lips and yet creamy when you apply it making it perfect. The pigmentation is not very strong and the lasting is not very great either for a matte lipstick.
Price – 375 INR. You can buy it here.
Banana Boat Ultramist Sport Performance Sunscreen Spray – SPF 30
I am a very lazy person in general. To apply sunscreen on the face is a task in itself. And then arms and feet? Ain’t nobody got time for that :P. That’s when I found this gem. I have been using it religiously ever since. It’s a clear watery spray with a mild smell that you apply onto skin and slightly rub it in. It is not at all oily and gets absorbed in minutes. I am not sure this is suitable for face (not my face at least). One can lasts for months.
Price – 1000 INR for 177 ml. You can buy it here.
Soap & Glory Hand Food Hand Cream
Oh how I love the name. Hand food 🙂 And Soap & Glory packaging always excites me. This rich hand cream has shea butter and macadamia oil. It is very hydrating. It is not at all greasy on application, almost matte and gets absorbed soon. The smell is Soap & Glory’s Original Pink fragrance which is a powdery mix of citrus and flowers.
Price – £2.50 for 50 ml. You can buy it here.
Cetaphil DAM Daily Advance Ultra Hydrating Lotion
Though it calls itself a lotion, it is not very watery and the consistency is somewhere between a cream and a lotion. I love this moisturiser to bits and it is my HG moisturiser. Having acne prone skin with bursts of eczema every now and then, I cannot tolerate any heavily fragranced moisturisers with irritating ingredients. It has got shea butter and macadamia oil (oh just like the hand food!). This is not at all greasy, gets absorbed instantly, is fragrance free and perfect for my sensitive skin. I first came across this product when my dermatologist prescribed this when I complained of extremely dry lips. Yes this is perfect for lips too 🙂
Price – 250 INR for 100g. You can buy it here.
