Curly hair care for men isn’t really different compared curly hair care for women.

You wouldn’t believe if I told you my husband has curly hair if you see him with short hair. It is stick straight. See below photo.

But the moment it starts getting a little longer, when it starts flowing, the magic comes out in the form of soft luscious ringlets! Having seen me scrunch away my curls for the past few years and being my behind-the-scenes blog partner, I never had to explain the routine to him. He has easily mastered it.

To all the men asking me if the curly hair routine and products mentioned in this blog are suitable for curly hair, here is the answer to it – A big fat yes! I hope this inspires you to embrace your “frizzy” hair which is really, beautiful curly hair in disguise, just waiting to be taken care of. Hope this curly hair care for men helps you define your curls.

“I have 3b curls with medium porosity and coarseness, as per my wife :P. This is how I take care of my curls.

1. Wash – I take some shampoo in a mug and dilute it with water. I then pour this over my scalp and massage well to clean the scalp. Then I rinse well.
2. Condition – Next I take a good amount of conditioner and distribute it all over my hair and gently detangle knots till hair feels drenched in conditioner and slippery soft. Then I rinse it off.
3. Gel – With my hair dripping wet, I flip my head down and scrunch in a handful of gel.
4. Dry – Then I either let my hair air dry or use a diffuser to dry it.
5. Once 100% dry, I scrunch out the crunch and fluff my roots.
6. I never use a brush or comb on dry hair.
