Ingredients after the first 5 to 8 ingredients are in negligible amounts and can be ignored if you are not trying to avoid any ingredient in particular – Read the Ingredients List, Not the Product Claims.
First look at the ingredients list and it looks like a really oily greasy product; but it isn’t. So either the ingredients are not mentioned in the right order or they have nailed the perfect formulation.
It contains Behenetrimonium methosulfate and Cetearyl alcohol which are really good ingredients in a leave in conditioner.
The slippery elm and aloe vera gel may provide very slight hold, but there’s nothing else to really call it a gel. It does have a whipped airy texture like the name suggests, though.
It is Protein, Glycerin, propylene glycol and sorbitol free which makes it ideal for humid and dry places – Curly Hair Care – Products to Use According to the Weather

Hi Anjana,
I’m going on a holiday to Kerala for 4 days from Hyderabad so I thought I’ll wash my hair before the day of travelling so that I don’t have to wash hair after going there. My question is should I use hair gel after applying leave in conditioner because in one of your posts I saw that gel shouldn’t be used in humidity areas.
Could you please clarify this in detail? because I want my hair to look good in pictures 😀

Hi Neeharika, it’s the opposite – don’t skip gel in humid places. Check this out https://www.curlsandbeautydiary.com/curly-hair-care-products-to-use-according-to-the-weather/

Hi Anjana 🙂
I started my CG journey 2 months back and used products as you had suggested in your beginner kit post. The frizz has reduced and my curls look much better now!
However, hair fall is still a huge concern! Do you have any suggestions for that?

I am glad to hear that, Kavin 🙂 Check this https://www.curlsandbeautydiary.com/hairfall-causes-remedies/

I was looking for this gel and see Glycerin as third ingredient. Is that an old formula you think? Do you still use this gel?

Aqua, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Glycerin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Prunus Amygdallus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Simmondisa Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Cetyl Alcohol, Parfum, Caprylyl Glycol, Panthenol, Camellia Sinesis Leaf Extract.

Ya Anu, maybe they’ve changed their formula. I don’t use this gel nowadays as this was best suited for the dry Dutch weather. I am back in India now and exploring Indian brands 🙂

Hi Anjana,
Thank you for your message. What were your favorite leave in/cream and gels for the spring/summer and autumn/cold weather while you were in the Netherlands. Did you avoid all the strong humectants like Glycerin, propylene glycol and sorbitol? Or is it ok if they are down in the ingredient list?
I was so glad when I found your blog that someone with “Indian” type hair and having experience of living in Europe as well. Its so hard to find someone with similar hair type!
