Bounce Curl Light Creme Gel Review

I had been wanting to try the Bounce Curl Light Creme gel ever since I saw tons of rave reviews on Instagram. The shipping fee to India is more than the product itself, so I never purchased it. But one day I was lucky and won it in a giveaway by Polly Judd (@pollys_curls)!

Description by Bounce Curl : This is a light weight styling gel that is infused with extracts of nourishing ingredients. This product does have a holding ingredient in here to help define your curls. It is mostly a gel with a little bit of cream. 80% Gel and 20% cream. It will leave your hair feeling weightless and it will lock your curl shape in for a long time, reducing frizz. This light formula will not weigh your hair down and it will allow you to create volume. It has aloe which is saturated with essential vitamins and minerals, that can restore hair back to health. Black seed oil is one of the secret middle eastern oils that has been used by my family and I for many years.

Ingredient Analysis:

The 1st 5 ingredients are (excluding water), film forming polymer (for hold), humectant, jojoba oil and a weak sunscreen. Then there are some proteins. Aloe and black seed oil come quite towards the end and so are low in concentration.

CG Friendly: Yes
Texture: Light, milky, runny, creamy fluid (not at all gel like)
Smell: Orange-y and sometimes reminds me of cough syrup
Packaging: Sturdy plastic bottle

+ This is super lightweight and perfect for wavies, low porosity hair or any hair that gets weighed down easily
+ Gives great volume and bounce
+ The gel cast is very natural which makes curls not crunchy at all
+ It’s great for refreshing because it is super light
– I would have liked a stronger gel cast. There’s almost no hold to this
– My curls feel too light for my liking and lack texture/body. It cannot be used without a cream on my hair
