Update : 23 Jan, 2018 – I no longer use silicones because I figured they weigh my hair down.
Ever since I started reading about curly hair care and the best curly hair products, Aussie’s Moist line has come into the picture very often. I once mistakenly purchased Aussie Miracle Moist Conditioner (Not their typical bright purple packaging which I think is the version in the UK) and wasn’t very happy with the results. Nevertheless I decided to give THE purple one a chance and I am so happy I did.
Description by Aussie:
Give your thirsty hair a moist makeover. Made with Australian Aloe and Jojoba Oil, this moisturizing conditioner maximizes hydration to soften your silky mane.
Price: INR 1500/8$/8 GBP for 400 ml. You can buy it here, here (India) or here (US)
Ingredient Analysis:
Water/Eau, Stearyl alcohol & Cetearyl alcohol – Fatty alcohols, Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine – Soluble Positively charged surfactant, Glutamic Acid – Humectant, Fragrance/Parfum, Bis-Aminopropyl Dimethicone – Non Soluble modified silicone, Benzyl Alcohol, EDTA, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone – Preservatives, Ecklonia Radiata Extract (seaweed), Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice
Fatty alcohols smoothen the hair cuticle. Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine provides slip while detangling. No harsh ingredients. I think it is quite a good ingredient list.
CG Friendly: No
Texture: Aussie Moist conditioner is a thick white opaque conditioner with average slip.
Smell: Smells fabulous. A very refreshing non-boring smell.
Packaging: A curvy plastic bottle with Aussie’s signature purple body and a lightly sparkly white flip cap.
Performance:
Here’s how I apply conditioners – How to wash & condition curly hair and here is a post with my full curly hair care routine – My curly hair routine .
+ Hydrates hair quite well
+ Defines curls quite well
+ Controls frizz and fly-a-ways to a good degree
(I am not using too many wow words though I love this conditioner because I am comparing the performance of a deep conditioner to this. Maybe I shouldn’t)
– Slip is average
– Detangling with this wasn’t extremely easy. I had to put in some effort
– Hydration could have been more, considering that this is named Moist
In short: In terms of a regular daily conditioner, Aussie Moist conditioner is one of the top conditioners that I have used. I just prefer the performance of a deep conditioner for my hair (even on a bi-weekly basis).

Hey i have been wanting to try Aussie products but could not find them. Where did you get hold of them?
Have you tried infusium 23 products? I love their serum, it helps my curls a lot. I recently called for its shampoo but sadly it did not turn out to be good for my hair.
